Hi guys Im trying to setup and FTP site from my home network.but make it available to internet users
Localally(LAN) I can connect to this ftp site by using
ftp://192.168.xx.xxort I enter user name and password and hey presto my site is up and infront of me.
When I try connecting EXTERNALLY(internet) by typing
ftp://ispaddessort I get as far as enter the user name and password, then it gives me the following error.
An error occurred opening that folder on the FTP Server. Make sure you have permission to access that folder.
Details:
200 Type set to A.
200 Port Command Successful.
425 Cannot open data connection
Details you may need to know below
There are 4 computers on the network connected to each other via a Linksys Router(acting as a switch) this in turn is connected to my ISP's Netopia 3300.
Ive set the Netopia up for pin holing but this doesnt seem to work, Do I need to make changes to Linksys(I dont understand why if I do as when inside it lets port pass through)
Thank you for any help or advice and sorr this is so long.
