I am on unix sco 5 and when I try to ftp a file from my pc, the file on the unix server shows up without the quotes in the file. I am using WS_FTP Pro. The file is a .txt and I am using ascii to transfer it. Does anyone have any ideas why this would happen?
Yes I have looked at it in both Notepad and Wordpad. Seems fine there. I find this a little strange - the same thing also happens when i copy and paste the plain text from the document into a new file through 'vi'
I found how to change to straight quotes instead of curly quotes.
