Here's a problem we have. We received a memo from one of our clients to download files from their FTP site. We could not download using Netscape but was successful using MS Explorer. Is this common or is there a way to get Netscape to do the same thing as Explorer?

Netscape 7.01
MS Explorer 6.0

Thanks for any input.

Others may disagree but I feel it best to use an FTP client, such as aceFTP or bulletproofFTP, rather than a browser. Many are free. There is more control over the logon, port selection, session options, etc.

Unix IS user friendly... It's just selective about who its friends are.

Thanks for the valuable info from zebratech and bcastner. Will try these tips. Thanks again!
