I am looking for a GOOD ftp client for OSX, preferably free.
I only need basic upload download functionality, that is easy to use. I am helping one of our designers (new to osx) get set up in our PC environment, and realized his mac dos not have an ftp client?!?

THANKS!!

Kevin

Does not have an FTP client??? [surprise]

If you go into Terminal, you can just type
Code:
% ftp blah.blah.com
like normal.

If you want a GUI client, the best place to look is a site called VersionTracker.

Go to then click on the MacOSX tab and search for FTP.

If you click on the name of the returned results, you can see a star rating, given by other users.

Personally, I don't use a GUI FTP so I can't give you any useful suggestions there.

Thanks guys...

I know the command line works, but this is not for me, it is for a less computer abled person... the need to "see" things...

(Supprised you mac guys know what a command line is :) ;) j/k, guess osx changed that hehehe)

Um I administer 40 unix boxes and 650 PCs, I have been programing long before there were command lines, (I have ditched all my punched cards and papertape) I use macs cause I WANT to. I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.
