We are running a i5 series V4 IBM server and we use SAP as our ERP. The SAP program generates some text files that are saved on some specific folder. The remote client FTP's to our server and grabs the file but they are having security issues where they cannot grab the file. I check permissions on the folder and the ftp user has read access to the folder but when I check permissions on the specific file the ftp user doesn't have access to it. Does the file permissions overwrites the folder permissions?
Is there anything that we can do to fix this problem since we cannot change permissions on each file because lots of files are generated all with different names.
I appreciate any pointers I can get on this.
