When I FTP a file from SCO to the IBM AS-400, any 'piping' sign '|' comes out as 'closing square bracket' ']'. Anyone have any ideas on how to correct this? Thanks. Joe

Hi. Are you using ascii as the ftp mode? It's possibly something to do with EBCDIC conversion happening somehow.

Yes, I believe that the default is ASCII unless I change it to BINARY, which I have not.

Try converting it to EBCDIC first (using dd conv=ebcdic for example) and then transfer it in binary perhaps?

Annihilannic.
