I am using frx2word successfully to e-mail reports to our vendors. frx2word saves the report to a Word document by displaying report objects as text boxes. Since the vendors will be replying to our e-mail by updating the document, I was wondering if anyone knew how to modify the code to protect all text boxes except the ones to be modified. The users are concerned that other values will be changed that they will be unaware of.

Also, can I control what version of Word the report is converted to? I don't know if all the vendors have the latest version of Word.

Hi generlam - you may be better off posting this on universalthred.com. The author of frx2word is a regular contributer there and can better comment on it's capabilities.

AFA ensuring the vendors do not change too much in the document, you can always use Word's "Track Changes" feature - so you can see exactly what your vendor adds/changes/deletes in the document. Jon Hawkins
