We installed FRx Webport on an IIS server, and followed the instructions to a tee.

Then we installed FRx on the same computer.

We are getting all kinds of errors, mainly "No web permissions in selected SysData directory".

When we open FRxWeb in a browser, right away it asks for a user and password. We don't know what to put here. Tried the FRx administrator password but get Access Denied.

Tried to open WebAdministrator and nothing shows up. I've read up on the repository stuff and can't find anything on this.

Turned security on in FRx, reset administrator password, still doesn't work.

We have reg keys for Webport but can't put them in until we open the browser and login successfully.

Anyone know how to do this?

thanks

Anyone? I finally contacted our VAR but apparently they sold us a product they can't support and have escalated my problem to Microsoft. Real nice.

iis is really flakey. check to make sure that the default user for the webpage has permissions to the working directly for frx.

and they wonder why they call it Great Pains!

Is that that anonymous user, or Administrator or that USR_???IIS???thingamajig? I am not the network person so forgive my lack of technical language LOL.

We checked every possible permissions setup we could think of. Tried making sysdata local then back to the shared folder, both have the right permissions and we get that error no matter which frxsys32.mdb file we try to select.

Then when I try to add users for the helluvit we get repository errors, probably because nothing is set up. Then I turned FRx security on, created an administrator password, and set that up in the server permission thingy and still no dice.

TGIF!!!
