Does anyone know if it is possible to have the date (or year) as a column in FRX. I know how to get it in the header but I need to export the report to a txt file without headers/totals and I need the year in the txt file along with all the other data.

Any ideas on how to get this done?

I haven't used FRx for awhile now but I remember there's a Column Type, Transaction Apply Date.

I tried this but it seems as if this only applies to printing transaction datail reports. Even when I select financial & transaction nothing is printed in this column.

Any other ideas?

Do you mean you want the year to show in every row on your report?

Thanks!
Barb E.

Yes that's exactly what I want.

Putting the year into your text file after-the-fact is probably your best bet.

If FRx is your only option you may be able to create a worksheet link that contains the year.

Thanks!

Is the year going to be static for your report? If so try putting the year in a column with the "FILL" fucntion. ie "2005

Thanks for all your suggestions

Tt seems though, that there is no clear cut way to get this done. I was hoping that there was some way to automatically get the year in the report details based on the report year selected on the catalog. The report will be used to dump data to another system so I didn't want to 'hard-code' the year, plus the user printing this report does not have access to modify the column layouts.

I may just have to hard code the year and remember to change it myself each year.

Thanks again
