Frustration with debugger flyout

I am very frustrated with the debugger as I step through my app upgrade code.

The problem is when mousing over a variable the 'flyout' ( like a texttip) doesn't happen and I have to copy the variable into the watch window to see its value.

Have I turned this off somehow and how can I restore this behaviour?

I wonder if you've somehow munged _VFP.EditorOptions settings. They persist from session to session, so mucking them up (without knowing it) can cause lingering issues.

If you've turned off Intellisense this would happen too.

You are probably correct - they have come back since I started a new coding session.
