Is there anyone in the US I can elevate a issue to regarding certification records and certs in general?

Recently I passed the 70-291, 70-270 and 70-290 exams. I have a MCSE in NT 4.0 from many moons ago that acording to Microsofts Web site will work as the elective for a MCSA on server 2003. My certification planner shows me with a MCSE NT 4 and all three of these tests (290,291 and 270) as complete. However I am still not showing a MSCA 2003 cert in my record.

I have been in contact with the Microsft learning center help line several times - each time I am sent to A call center where we have a language barrier and I get the run around ranging from "msce doesnt count towards MCSA, you need another elective etc" Each call ends with me speaking to a supervisor and being assured that everythigs in line and they'll handle it. I am still not showing the MSCA under my learning.

Is there someone HERE in US I can send Proof of my old certs to along with the new ones to get this resolved or am I stuck in No mans land?
These tests were not easy to pass but I got through them all on the first attempt - I would just like to get credit for them and keep moving forward ...Any advice ?

If you email these folks MCPHelp@microsoft.com they should be able to help you.

Thanks for the reply however i'm afraid these are the ones I have been dealing with. The number and email seem to roll into the same location somewhere overseas?

Yeah, India I believe. They are the only ones that can fix the issue. Does the certification planner show that you have completed the requirements for the MCSA? The entire system is pretty much automated, so when you meet the requirements the system should automatically give you the cert.

Thats exactly the loop I'm stuck in - Certification planner shows me with 4 pretty blue check marks -- 3 core tests (70-290, 70-291 and 70-270) and a MCSE NT 4.0 checked off under electives. According to Microsofts own certificstion planner I have all the requirements for the MCSA on 2003 server.

Here's my issue: My MCSE NT 4.0 was obtained in 98. At the time I had a novell CNA that I used as one of the seven exams for the MCSE. so in my history it shows 6 completed exams for the old mcse/nt 4. . Since then the NT 4 cert has been decommisioned but is still valid.(unless I've missed something?)
The people on the mcp line dont seem to even know what the certifications mean or what they are. Anyway, I do have the NT 4 certification but I cant seem to get anyone on the help line to understand this. I offered to send them my transcript and certificate from 98 and was assured its not neccesary.
In fact the typical response is to look into it then tell me I need an elective or the MCSE does not apply to the new cert. I have walked two supervisors through the web page I'm looking at and they agree that yes, I met all the requirements. The promise is made to elevate it with Microsoft to get this resolved and thats where it ends.

Is there anyone in The USA I can work with to look into this from Microsoft?!

Unfortunately I don't know anyone other than the normal email address that you can work with. Try calling back, go through the supervisor and try to speak with a manager. If you have a Microsoft sales rep, they may be able to help as well, or if you are a partner, etc so may be able to get in via that door.

Try posting the issue on the MCP newsgroups. There are a bunch of Microsoft folks that read those and may be able to assist you.

Thanks for the advice. I'll keep trying. finding a live person or local number is not easy. The news groups sound like the next step.

I know this makes me sound like a luddite but if you can find an address to write to it might be worth a try, i've found with many conpanies that this is the best way to force an issue as it 'sits' on someones desk untill sorted.

I found a human being at Microsoft who's looking into it - I'll update this link once I find out more!
