Frustrated.. how do I connect use lines to connect objects?

I'm drawing a national network and want to connect my remote sites using lines. What tool do I use to do this?

I use "Connector" but I'm having problem shaping the lines to my desire.

I typed in "lines" in the shape box and not getting the desire result.
