Hi,

during deletion of many inactive users suddenly my symposium client hung up :( with the effect that no other clients are able to switch users or to add new skillsets or whatever but the Real Time Display works furthermore until you close the window by hand ;) Re-login not possible as well the restart of the machine, where it appeared, did not help. Only get a frozen login window

So we have Symposium Server 4.02.06 in use.

In event viewer on Server, I can see:

1)
>errStr=[MERANT][ODBC Sybase driver][SQL Server]Dependent foreign key constraint violation in a referential integrity constraint.dbname= 'blue',table name= 'blue..NBUser',constraint name='NBGroupUse_131531552'.

2)
>errStr=[MERANT][ODBC Sybase driver][SQL Server]Command has been aborted.

3)
Event from Users[0] : Delete blue user error -1.

Is there any chance to fix it without a restart of Server ? Could it help to stop and restart the service of Sybase SQLServer ?
The service is still running.

It would be great if anybody can help me.

best regards
jesman

Doh! Check your ODBC Sybase drivers on your symposium client, that is the symposium database "blue"!! Open excel and see can you import data some data from symposium. You might have deleted the user acount that was entered for your ODBC Sybase drivers, just enter a user acount that is valid and run the test option when you are connected to your ODBC Sybase drivers,

Cheers,
