We have a CICS 6.0 on site and cannot figure out why lines are freezing.

The customer complains that lines are not accessible sometimes. It says they are in use however they are not.
They have to power down the system to get them to release.

This happens sparatically.

Any idea what this could be?

Make sure disconnect supervision is turned on for each line.
It is found under LINES - TRK/LINE data -TRUNK MODE (default is UNSPR - change it to SUPER)

If the lines are already set to SUPER, make sure the telco is sending the OSI (open switch interval) a signal that tells the KSU to disconnect the line.
