I would like to make a shortcut on my desktop to open netscape and go to a certain site from my home page in IE.

I thought I had done it before but I can't remember how. We mainly use IE but would like to do this for one particular thing that depends on Netscape.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I am a little confused by the question. You want a shortcut on your desktop to NN and you want it to auto open a particular page on your website? If so, just create your short cut icon to NN on your desktop and set the homepage for NN to the page you want on your website.

But if you are trying to get NN to launch from your homepage on your site visitors computer - not sure that can be done, but if it could - I'd stringly advise against something like that. Personally I wouldn't want to visit a website in the browser of my choice and have another browser auto launch on my computer.

Again - I am not sure I understand the question clearly at all though. Perhaps no one else did either. Maybe you could reword it?

Hi, Ms. Perfect (that's my wife's name):

1) Right click on a blank area of your desktop.
2) Click on "New".
3) Click on "Shortcut".
4) In the "enter location" window, enter the URL.
e.g., "5) Name the shortcut. e.g., "IRS"

Hope this helps.

Cheers, [/tt]

Sorry, I didn't read your question thoroughly before I clicked "submit".

It's more complicated than what I said, isn't it.

Lemme think about it...
