I have frontpage 2000. whenever I am online and try to access a page using Internet Explore, a Frontpage little popup thing comes up, its says trying to intall, and it take forever,t hen it says error and tells me toi nstall a new file, when i click cancel on it, it says "file to redirect" I want to turn this feature off, but i don't know how. Anything i can do about it?

so nobody knows how i can fix this??

Are you sure it's a FrontPage dialog box and not an Internet Explorer one? I have had a file in IE disappear, and it was asking me to download it--but it couldn't find it. You might try reinstalling Internet Explorer.

yeah, becasue IE works perfect in other screen names in which my computer logs on. I have an XP and different user names for eveyrone that uses it.
it says preparing to install, then frontpage. if i click cancel, it syas fail to redirecct.

can you post the link, so that we can take a look... we can also check the code and see if the problem lies their

i can't give u no link because it doesn't happen on a specific website. The thing happens everytime i open up Internet explorer when i am logged on my name in my windows XP computer. When i log on a different name like my brothers, nothing pops up when Internet explorer is opened. I am sure its frontpage becasue it says, Preparing to intall Frontpage components in a small rectanble box accross my screen. anyone got any other ideas??

ah ha...... i know the problem, been experiencing it myself... One question.. Does your front page website contain rollover buttons...

or any form of java... If so the problem is NOT front page.. It is infact XP.....

XP no longer supports automated downloading of the java script/file needed to run certain scripts.....

To test this theory, try accessing the site

i have exactly the same problem with that site... You will need to download the service pack for XP so as to get the file needed...

hope i hit the nail on the head
