Front Page inserts
tags before & after every line of text one cuts and pastes into a new document: this results in what appears to be a double-line
spacing between the lines. The only way I have found to remove this unwanted spacing is to manually remove each and every opening and closing
tag, and at the end of each
line, insert a
tag.

This is tediously slow. Now I am facing posting 'excerpts' from many books
written by authors whose work is contained within a desktop publishers website
I developed and maintain. I can't imagine manually removing each paragraph element.
Who out there knows a work around for this absurd nuance in Front Page? Please help?

This is just a stoopid suggestion...but can't you open the html in Notepad and do a search for
and replace with nothing?
(I'm sure I'll find out)
cadman2
:)>[)

hohriver,

I know what you are describing, however I can't seem to simulate it. Which version of FP are you using?

I think rather than a "smart removal" you whould try to prevent them from happening.

What is the application that you copying from?

Boxplan

Boxplan:It doesn't matter which version of Front Page...I use 98 at work on Windows 95, and 2000 at home on Windows 98....same outcome. The main application I attempt to paste from is Word from MS Office, but I have the same problem coming from Notepad or Wordpad, too. Thanks for the suggestions.Hohriver

Not sure if this will work, but try resaving the Word document in html format and see if it helps.

Linda Adams
Garridon@aol.com
<a href= Adams Online
I'm a professional writer, published internationally.
