Running the following:
OS: Windows 2000 Professional
IIS: 5.0
Installed FP Extensions: 2002

I created a web page that includes a "Web Search" web component. When I enter a text string into the text field and press enter, I get the following message:

FrontPage Run-Time Component Page
You have submitted a form or followed a link to a page that requires a web server and the FrontPage Server Extensions to function properly.
This form or other FrontPage component will work correctly if you publish this web to a web server that has the FrontPage Server Extensions installed.
Click the <Back> arrow to return to the previous page.

Any idea to what is wrong?

Thanks in advance

Ok, I tried publishing the web project first. Inside the text box, I entered a text string to search. When I pressed Enter, I received the following message: "Service is not running." Any ideas?

Make sure your ISP (or hosting ISP) has ALL the FP extensions installed. Patrick

I have 2002 FPSE's installed, what others do I need?

Righ mouse click on My Computer, select Manage. On bottom of Computer management tree you'll see the services area. In this branch start the Index Server Services. Make sure to specify which folders you want Windows to index. Wait about 30 minutes for Windows to index the folders you specify. Go ahead and try a search.
