Is it possible to install the Front Page 2002 extensions on my own computer? I don't want to publish pages without checking them first, but since some processes don't work without the extensions, I can't check UNTIL I publish.

No, I don't know what IIS nor PWS is. And where do I get the extensions? I have Windows 98.
Thanks very much for answering.

With Windows 98, the PWS is on the Win 98 CD. On the CD - go to \add-ons\pws\setup.exe to install PWS.

The latest FP server extensions can be downloaded and installed from:

Make sure that you also install all of the patches for the Server extensions after you install the PWS and server extensions! Very important!

If your page is just html, then you could run it from any PC. When the page opens in Internet Explorer, it will display. However, some web pages require processing BEFORE they display. For example, an ".asp" page requires this. You need a special program to do that preparation before display. IIS performs this task on small PCs. It is usually stored on your windows installation disk, but you have to do a custom installation to install it...it is not included in a "typical" installation of Windows.

I don't know what "PWS" is, so I can't comment on that. Perhaps it is an older program that performs the same task.
