I have a Windows NT server configured as a workgroup (Name: GIS). I would like to change it to a domain (name: GIS).
Do I have to do a fresh install of NT from scratch?
Any help?

Since its not a PDC or BDC, I think u just have to add the computer to the domain.

If that is your only server, you will need to do a full re-install. To have a domain you need a domain controller. Creating a domain controller is an install time option. (there have been references in previous threads to tools that supposedly can convert stand alone serves into DCs but I have no idea how well they work.)

My suggestion is to re-install and choose Primary Domain Controller.
