Hello Everybody,
Can anyone tell me the working of "ipconfig".I just wanted to know the file/registry ,basically the location from where "ipconfig" obtains the ip address.

Thanking in advance,
chocsbee.

You will find the location of the IP Address, Subnet Mask, Gateway etc in the Key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\{Your NIC Interface}

Hope this helps.
