Hi all,
which is the best path to migrate an IP500 R5 with PRI30 channels, VM Pro, Voice Networking and aprox. 50 IP Phones?
All BaseCards and DaughterCards are still compatible.

That is a nasty road to take.
The IP500V1 cannot go to 10 on it's own, it needs to be replaced.
From the top of my head the IP500v1 cannot go any higher than 9.0 and then you will need to migrate licenses to PLDS with a 10.0 manager.
After this migration you need to replace the IP500v1 with a IP500v2 (or server edition if you need a bigger system)

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Make sure that you take screenshots of the virtual licensing that you get with old licensing (VCM channels) and hardware (VCM32 old) because it will not be reflected in the configuration when you send it to Avaya or your distributor

You cannot get the license migration file off a V1 system regardless what Release it runs so you have to send in the config and the SSA screenshots of the licensing to get it converted to a new SD card and V2 processor as PLDS licenses

I would also be very careful of the differences in the systems between those levels. If you just try and take the 5.0 config and upload it to the 10.0 system you might get some oddity's as the differences in how things are programmed do not always move across properly.

I would personally do a retype of the config onto the new 10.0 system as I have had two that have just had unexplainable issues when I have tried just sending the old config into the new system.

You need a IP 500v2 chassis.
Best is to have the same cards fitted as the customer uses.
Load R5 on the IPO 500v2 and load the customer config on it.
The config will convert from 500v1 to 500v2.
Then upgrade to the latest R9.1 version as described here and generate a migrate license file for Avaya to migrate all license to R10+
If you had virtual licenses which are not shown in R9.1 then you defintely need the screen shots.
