Greetings! I have a NEC SV8100 that was using a PRI for outbound but it is changing to regular POTS Lines. How do I route incoming calls to the operator. I have to assign the trunks to a group and then make them the only choice for outbound. What programs do I need to use? Any help is much appreciated.

In 22-02 set the POTS lines to normal. 22-04, group 1, assign only the operator extension. 22-05 set to 1. Do this for mode 1 (day). If you are using night mode switching then a different setting may be needed for mode 2 (night).

Thank you, Belevedere. How do I make the system pick those trunks on dial 9 access?

When you add them in they automatically go into group 1 which id defaulted for dial 9. Unless somebody changed default values, you need to do nothing. You will have to take the PRI trunks out of group 1 so you don't get dead air on an outbound attempt.
14-05 = trunk route assignment.

This system had trunk group 10 as the outbound trunk group. They were Sip trunks that called another system to get dial tone. Do i Need to change 14-06 and the F-routes? Thank you again for taking time to help.

If you are not using the remote trunks, then turn off ARS and just use dial 9 to get out. Place the potts lines in route 1.
26-01 to turn off ARS 14-05 for tk routes.

Belevedere,

How does 10-23 work? In the number field; do I put the extension numbers of the system I want to connect to and corresponding IP address of the system I want to connect to in the IP address field? How do I cover all extensions in the neighboring system? There is no wild card symbols. 44@@ for example.

I have ARS turned off now. In the future, my customer will be opening new offices and want to connect to them.
