I need to migrate an application that relies on DAO data sources to use ODBC data sources. I will need to eradicate my Access MDBs and completely migrate to SQL server. This conversion should be permanent, and I do not know how to get started.
would this mean several changes in the source code (in the creation of databases and tables and in my query strings)?

any idea is appreciated.

thanx,
rachel

you might want to try moving from DAO to ADO if you are wanting to move into ODBC (ADO still uses the ODBC drivers, but much easier to work with than raw ODBC) , check out the FAQ I belive I posted here, on basically how to get ADO going in VC++, and you can probally take it from there pretty easy.
