Hello again! - ok, here's the next question. I currently have 2 columns (first_name and last_name). However some people are entirely in CAPS and I want to change them to standard.

example)

KEMP >> change to >> Kemp

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Cheers,

- Iain

I don't use excel much so there might be a better way of doing this.
Assuming the uppercase name is in A1, the following should work:
=UPPER(LEFT(A1,1)) & LOWER(MID(A1,2,LEN(A1)-1))
Donna

just use the PROPER function
=Proper(A1)
where the data is in a1 - will capitalise 1st letters of each name and lower case all the others
