from a table with symmetric relation select every pair only once

During a data migration I encountered a problem, how do I have to select the data properly.
Because I am on DB2 on IBM iSeries V7R1 I posted my questions initially in DB2 forum.
But in my opinion this is a general SQL question, so I would like to ask the domestic SQL gurus here, if they could help me:
