Morning all
I have a question, to which I have searched high and low for an answer and been unable to find any clear and concise information.
In my syslog, all ftp connections are logged (ftpd -d), now whenever *anyone* connects via ftp, the 2nd line of logging is always the same:
Sep 23 11:14:09 ftp1 ftpd[4760]: Kerberos V5: error while constructing principal name: Unknown code DCE:krb 169 (336761001)
Could anyone pelase explain to me what this actually means? All I get when I search google/altavista/[insert anywhere else you can imagine], is lots of code regarding diff files for kerberos V5 to fix (i believe) a buffer overflow exploit when kerberos is using ssh.
Any and all help greatly appreciated.
