Fresh Install of Aimworx no SMDR data flowing

Can someone help me getting SMDR to aimworx 5.0? This is a reinstallation. The previous installation had a database that corrupted. I have since reinstalled aimworx 5.0 and the database is fresh. I cannot see any SMDR in the collector and so I am assuming that something is wrong with my setup which is a direct connect to COM2. I have not made any changes on the switch so i assume that all of the SMDR programming is still intact and correct. (Is there is a way to check this using Matworx). How can I test to see if any smdr is flowing out of the switch? If it is not I seem to recall that a reset helps. Is this possible? I appologize for such a vague description but I am by no means a surefooted NEC vendor as most of you are. Thank you for any help.
 
Try resetting the PBX. After that hook up your laptop with Hyperterminal and make sure you are getting call records. Then you will now for sure if it is in the Aimworx.
