One of our machines seems to keep receiving errors when browsing with IE6.0

All of the updates and service packs are installed.

It happens just about every session using IE6. The box usually comes up with the option to send and error report to Microsoft.

Has anyone else had any similar problems or have any suggestions.

Thanks

Sensing you have XP on this machine...tried SFC or repair install of XP?

I'm sorry, I am usually good about including that. It is on a Win98 machine. I found a MS help article that suggests going to Add/Remove programs and doing a repair on IE. I am going to try that to see if it helps.

Dentist:

It's a bug and I don't know that there's a fix yet. It's the same on NT and on 2000 so it's not OS specific.

All you can do is go back to 5.5 (if that's possible) or tough it out until MS publish something in the knowledge base.

The thing is, we have five machines running Win98, and four running Win2K, but the problem is only happening on one machine. I did the repair on IE, but have not had a chance to see if it is still having problems.

I run IE6 SP1 and Win98 with absolutly NO problems on two machines. I guess I'm just lucky. Hopefully the repair fixed your problem. "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing....." [idea]
