I've got to setup a 3300 in france on a T2 line.
I'm going to set it up as i would an E1 connection in the UK and hope it's all a european standard and works.
Does anyone know if it does in fact use the same settings or am i in for a nasty suprise.
Also is it presented as an RJ45 socket.

I haven't heard that term in years. Around this part of the globe "T2" refers to a quad bundle of T1s, ie, that amount of bandwidth (6.312 kbps) which you'd normally provision for an old "slick-96" loop concentrator.

In other circles of wisdom a T2 is a variation of Sun Microsystems Ultrasparc server.

It's actually in Monaco if that makes any difference. I'm sure the french will have adopted a european E1 standard and won't be using T1. I'm hoping that it's just the name they use for the ISDN line like we use ISDN30. Well i'll find out on Thursday.
I may be able to contact Mitel support in France before that, i'll you posted on the results.
This must be an issue for other people installing in different countries, maybe we should start a resource on this site for people who need this sort of info.

Thanks ceonline you saved my skin, your settings were spot on except the terminal mode had to be set to LT not NT.

So the only differences between how i normally setup a E1 link in the UK were in the Link descriptor assignment with the Terminal mode set to LT and CRC-4 enabled set to NO.

Thanks again
