I have installed a VFP 6.0 EXE program on a Novell server running 3.12. The program worked well for about a week. Then it began to intermitently freeze the workstations, when using the lookup utility in my forms. There is nothing exotic about this application. It just takes in the informations about patients, and on release it makes up an invoice. The same program is running fine on other Novell servers.

Thank you for any assistance you can give.

Check the network flags in the directory you installed in on. Make sure the File/Directory flags are Executable/Readonly/Sharable.

If you installed it and if you want a 500% application speed increase, install the foxpro runtime modules or program on the workstations. You will also end a lot of bandwidth problems before they start also. What money you are trying to save in not purchasing the developers pack or extra licenses will pay for itself on speed of program operation in less then a year.

I'll get off the soap box now. [sig]<p>David W. Grewe<br><a href=mailto:Dave@internationalbid.net>Dave@internationalbid.net</a><br><a href= > </a><br> [/sig]

you can also make sure if your are using latest novell client on your work station. [sig][/sig]
