freezing form

Hi,
I built an application that queries a ms slq server. When I run a command from the form, the form freezes until the command finishes running( 5 minutes later). I can still use other opened programs(like ie explorer, notepad, word) but other applications won't open until the command has finished. Is there a way to stop the form from freezing so that I can minimize it or maximize it while it is running?

Try using a timer to run the code that causes the freeze. that way the os could see the form as active -God Bless
