Hi All,

I've got a very quick and simple question. Does anyone know of a simple/freeware for WAN monitoring tools? I want to create a simple WAN map that shows router up/down (traffic light) and if possible, utilisation stats.

The closest equivalent I could find is Dartwares' Intermapper but I'm hoping there is a freeware equivalent either a Unix, Linux or Windows.

I'd appreciate any help

Thanks in advance.

I personally like mrtg (multi-router traffic grapher) available on sourceforge.net. I had once seen a VMWare appliance for it, but can't seem to find it at the moment.

However I do see a similar type platform in the VMWare appliances called CACTI, which seems to provide the same functionality but is purported to be easier to administer.

I also came across Unnoc, which adds functionality for monitoring your virtual machine usage. This may actually be closer to what you are looking for.
