I would like to know if there are any freeware apps to image a live Windows 2000 Server (no resetting or going into DOS type things). I plan to put the image on an external USB drive. As well, I would like to be able to schedule daily tasks so I don't have to do it manually.

I've looked at various freeware apps like SelfImage and such but either they don't do live imaging or scheduling isn't easy to do.

Thanks!

Best of luck to you on this, but I wouldn't feel comfortable going freeware on something so important. We use Acronis' TruImage for servers and successfully restored server images to non-identical hardware with no problems at all.

Will the Home Version work? I don't see a "Pro" version...or maybe I'm missing something.

I see all the options now...which one would you recommend?
