I am trying to set up Hotdesking on our MD (For those that do not know, these are now FREE (GRATIS) on BC12).

I have set up an Generic Extension with LIC 2, and i know i now have to set up an Authorisation Code of some sort.

a.) What is the correct syntax for the Authorisation code that i want (there are many variants).

b.) Do i need to change any parameters on the actual handset that will be used for Log on/ Log Off Proceedure?

Hi,
It needs the RAC( regional authorization code).....

example: GEDII:DIR=1234,CSP=1,LIM=1,LIC=2;
Log in procedure:
*11*2345*1234#

Cheers,

Thanks for your quick response, but i have already completed this stage, it is the settings for the Authorisation Code that i am looking for. (and any settings for the handset itself (ADC ???))

i.e.
AUCOI:AUTH=1234,CILCOD=1234,CAT=7,CSP=7,CHECK=YES;
AUCOI:AUTH=1234,CILCOD=1234,CAT=7,CSP=7,CHECK=NO;

These both return "Invalid Auth Code" when trying to log onto the phone

You need Regional authorization code where parameter DIR is same as parameter DIR in command GEDII.

Example for FREE SEATING:
GEDII:DIR=1234,LIM=1,CSP=4,LIC=2;
AUCOI:DIR=1234,CSP=4,AUTH=XXX,CILCOD=YYY;

Relationship between regional code and free seating user is DIR parameter.

XXX is whatever you want within system limitations.

YYY is whatever you want within system limitations, most likely to choose here is same value as DIR.

And the winner is: AUCOI:DIR=1234,AUTH=1234,CILCOD=1234,CSP=7;

This is working BUT when combining with Mobile Extension is failing.

I log 1234 onto my Generic Extension and when i dial 1234 from internal, the Mobile rings, i can answer the call, but within 3 seconds the call drops to "Congestion" - Any ideas? [/color red]

Can you describe in more detail the situation where the problem occurs?

Especially, which phones are involved and Who calls who!

I think think this may be tied with an issue that i am experiencing with Mobile Extension at the moment. I have raised a helpdesk call, but I put the post up to see if was missing anything.

I will advise of the FIX, when i get it, seems to be some sort of time out, and a lack of a speech path.

alcohaz, which SP are you running?

My maintainer has advised that the latest service pack should rectify the problem for BC12. Apparently there are known issues with earlier releases.

Thanks
Al

The latest service packs did not rectify this. However it was found that the TRM value for the Routes had not been correctly written to the a certain register somewhere??.. (even though this was set in ROCAP)This was rectified by my maintainer with ROCAC, ALL WORKING OK NOW..

Cheers
Al
