Freehand 10 Error on Startup

We recently purchased Macromedia Studio MX.....and after installing the Freehand 10 portion of that.....I am unable to open it. I am getting an error:

"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click OK to terminate the application."

Does anyone know what would cause this or a fix?

When you say 'we', is this computer for public use, i.e. multi-user?

If not, follow these steps and let me know if it works:

1. Uninstall Freehand.
2. Reboot your system.
3. Install Freehand once more.
4. Reboot your system once more.
