Recently I upgraded my freehand 9 to 10. I was having problems with it crashing, so over the weekend I did a clean install of my OS and all software...starting with Freehand 10. It was working fine, but as I cautiously started adding fonts to my system file, I kept checking Freehand 10 to see if it was still working. I've added about 1300 fonts, and now Freehand 10 wont seem to let me add anymore, but has started crashing on start up again. I'm adding these fonts in groups ( eg all the "a"'s then "b" etc) that I have put in folders.
Is it possible that there are corrupt fonts in these folders causing the problem. Or does freehand 10 require you have some sort of font management program..(I dont use a font management program apart from ATM 4.6) Or does it need you to have OS X? Any feedback appreciated.

Please tell me your using a font management program like suitcase and not trying to run with 1300 active fonts - cuz if you are trying to run with that many fonts open its like trying to cross a freeway at rush hour with your eyes closed - your gonna crash - the answer - get suitcase or something like it or learn to live with a lot less fonts

i believe you need to upgrade to OSX... also, running your system with that many fonts and no font management is dangerous. ATM does not have the support of a true font manager like suitcase, which checks for corrupted fonts and only activates those which are in current use. That many fonts could create serious problems for your computer.
