Free Visual BASIC 6 Compilers???

Anybody know where I can get one?
 
You might find one really cheap in a used bookstore.
 
There are several 'mickey mouse' visual basic look-alikes around. Some of them work. A quick google will find them - just remember that they are probably worth what you pay for them - and the code won't be compatible with MS VB, so you may have difficulty with support

The closest thing might be VB5 CCE, a version of VB5 that was released free for use in creating ActiveX controls, primarily for use in web pages.

While this will compile and save ActiveX control projects, it will not compile a regular EXE project - though you can create, run, and save these within the IDE. It just can't make compiled standalone programs.
