Hi all,

I have recently found out that Staroffice ver 6 is being sold. Was there an old ver. which was free?
Can it still be downloaded?
How is the licencing for 10 Users for the new ver.?

AFAIK Star Office is only available for purchase.

Buy the latest version, it's far superior than v5 and it's cheap at around £70 per copy!

Ver 6 is superior but I still run 5.2 as I use it mainly for email & browser which is not present in V6. I have original files for this and have offered them to a couple of download sites with not takers. The main file is almost 100meg with adabas being 12meg. Adabas is only needed for multiple users sharing the calender, tasks, etc. If anyone knows of an ftp site that will host the files for windows & linux I would be happy to upload them. 5.2 was the last fully free version and also the last fully integrated version with email, news, browser, calendar, task scheduler, etc.

Version 5.2 was the last free version. Have seen it bundled on the CD that came with some motherboards. OpenOffice is quite similar and still free.
