Free Terminal Emulator with Scripting TeraTerm

Found this free terminal emulation program out of Japan.

It's pretty basic, but if you need to run some basic scripts it'll do the job.

It's so basic, it doesn't even have a dialer. You just connect to the comm port your modem is on and then enter modem commands. To dial you use the atdt command (atdt 8675309).

I can agree that it's very basic and it does what it says on the tin......we use it as our management won't put their hands in their pockets to buy something better....

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

In this case it was me being the cheap skate.

I just couldn't see spending $150 on something I'd use the full potential of just once or twice.

Free was so much better.

For day to day stuff, I still use hyperterminal.
