I have a Maxtor 60GB hard drive partioned into two 30 gig drives. I'm using WinXP Pro. My problem is that the 2nd partion (F: drive) shows around 830mb free. I deleted over 3GB of files I didn't need to free up space and it still shows around 830mb free!! I have rebooted, emptied the Recycle Bin, deleted temp file and internet temp files.

I have read somewhere before that this is a problem with Windows, but I can't find out the cure for it anywhere.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

I had that problem 'cause I was paranoid about Set Points for restoring...was saving so many my hard drive was rapidly filling up.
Take a look and see how much System Restore space you have allocated for it...it might be you can turn if off (which will free that space) and then turn it back on (all the while holding your breath that something doesn't happen)
