Can we use a free form in vfp9 instead of the regular rectangular form?
If yes, how can we do it?

Didn't I see an article somewhere, where a programmer used a form with a clear background, no border or control box, and then put a bitmap background on it... thus mimicing a 'free form'?

I seem to remember that there was a problem with the ability (or inability) to transfer control to underlying apps 'through' the 'clear bits' where the bitmap didn't match the square form of a form - if you follow me?

Admigha,

Yes, I've done this -- but not very successfully.

For details, see the topic "Create an Irregularly Shaped Window Sample" in the Samples and Walkthroughs section of the VFP Help.

I found that the technique only worked properly with top-level forms (although that might have been because of something I was doing wrong).
