We are opening an office in Frankfurt and the Telco provided us with the below info regarding the DID's they have provisioned for us.
From what I can tell they are 3 digit DID's. We want to use 7 digit ext.'s on the phones. Can I translate this to work using an incoming DID translation pattern? The first 3 digits of all the ext.'s need to start with 744xxxx.
Any help is appreciated.
The office has the number +49 (0)69 271078-0.
The block of extensions reserved for us is 0 - 499.
Now it is up to us how we want to configure the numbers on Cisco Call Manager.
Our otions are:
We can use 0 as switchboard number. That would mean that the array from 000 to 099 is lost since the 0 blocks the first 100-block.
We can use 00. That would mean that 000 to 0009 would be lost.
If we use 000 for switch board then we can use the entire range .
The fourth option we have, and that is what apparently most people do, is to create a 4-digit block in Cisco Call manager. The pattern for the switch board number applies here as well, meaning 0 would block 0000 to 0999 and so forth.
