Framework Manager a must?

I am installing CRN for the live server. Just got a doubt whether Framework Manager is a must to be installed there?

is it not sufficient to have Reportserver, gateway and content on the box?

You only need Fm if you plan on publishing models from the server. IF your data modelers work from their own pc's then you won't need FM installed.
