In Framework we created a Query Subject Dimension and Query subject Measure which works fine, However we'd like to control the sort of some of the Dimensional Data. Is there a way to manually change the sorting defaults in Framework?

Sort by date Sort by votes
There is no default setting on how sorting is applied, only if an object is sortable. Sorting of data is done at the frontend in one of the reporting modules.

Consequently, you are not able to use OLAP functions such as "head" effeciently, unlike with cubes.
