Hi all,

I'm trying to understand a free online code, and in its frameset, I cannot find anywhere the SRC="UntitleFrame-55" comes from. Shouldn't it be something like UntitleFrame-55.html or else instead of just UntitleFrame-55? I don't understand!!!

<frame frameborder=0 name=frm_header scrolling=no src="UntitledFrame-55">

Note: when I close the example page, it asks me what I want to do with the UntitleFrame-55 page. I tried to save it along with the new file I learned from the example, but not the same as the tutorial displayed.

the code possibly came from an OS that doesn't use (or need) file extensions to determine the file type, maybe MAC OS or UNIX.

If you are trying to view the pages on a windows OS it will need a file extension (.htm or .html)

Chris.

So long, and thanks for all the fish.

The thing is... I don't see the file anywhere along with the zip I downloaded online. How can I view this invisible file?

Note: the author also mentioned the framset is required and removing it is violating his copyright. To me, I have no interested in copy his code, simply want to understand why it does what it does.

If you feed uncomfortable sharing your knowledge in related to this copyright issue, I understand! Thanks anyway!

Then remove it and study it, it's only violating his copyright if you are planning on using it without a frameset.

when I remove those frameset and replaced with table, nothing displayed whatsoever but a blank white page. I don't know what the invisible frameset page includes that a simple table does not. All I understand is a few calling functions to display folders, then click the folder to view images inside... that's all! May be I just go find a tutorial about fs.GetFolder or something would be simplier...

thanks!

Yes Chris,

Mostly the same idea, but the program I'm learning will only display a folder's files when clicked. Too bad, it doesn't close the other folder automatically.

Do you have any similar tutorial that I can learn from and no need to worry about violating someone copyright? still, the one you provide is pretty close to what I am looking for here. There much for me to learn...

Take a look at
scroll to the bottom of the page and you can download the code that drives it

or I can post some of the code that drives the navigation and gallery for
Mind you this is the wrong forum
