I am creating a simple page that has a fixed section on the top containing a logo and two function buttons. Below this section is a dynamic content list of information.

My question is this: Because the list content is generated dynamically, can the frame content appear as code following the frameset tag? All the examples I have seen reference a SRC= parameter which won't work for this page because there is NO html file to reference?

Please advise?

Thanks

Bob

How? Usually when something is generated dynamically (ASP, PHP, Domino, JSP etc) you still need a URL to access the dynamically generated information.

The SRC attribute doesn't need to reference a HTML file, just a valid URL.

Open the list of dynamically generated content by itself in a separate browser window. Copy the URL from the browser's address bar. Paste the URL into the frame's SRC attribute.

i think it will be better that u retain them on the same page(dont use frames).

if u wanna use frames then u have to split them to two pages. the static content and the dynamic content...
