frames and refreshing windows

Hi there - I am working on a website that uses frames. I am trying to do this:

If you click on an item in the left frame, the left frame refreshes with the page it's supposed to, but the right frame also refreshes with a different page.

Does anyone know if that is even possible, and if so how it can be done?
