I am trying to upgrade my web site. I have an idea of what i want to do but not quite sure how to do it.

I have got a page that contains 3 frames. I want to put an image on the page that spans over the 3 frames, is this possible to do?

Thanks in advance!

Lindsey

cut your image in 3 parts
display each part in a different frame
this will work fine

Will this working fine when people use the page with different resolutions? i guess you would have to do the frame sizes in pixels rather than percentage that way, is that correct?

it depends where you past the image part - i don't know how is structured your site ... i suppose it can work even with % ...
anyway if you want to really control how things are displayed in your pages, the only solution is to use CSS (style sheet) - this way you can position in a very precise way any element in your page, stating if it can't move on resize or whatever, or it can move such as the little images staying always down the page when you scroll, or it can move "normally", or it can self move ....
more on this on the w3c site - they don't have tutorial, they have the spec of the language - but they have links to good tutorial sites
