Ive got a dual frammer installed in a MX 3300.

Ive started to configure it from scratch without using a template.

The framer is install in PID 6 1 2 1.

Im assuming I should be able to do an ST 6 1 2 1 from the Maintenance command line once the framer config has been assigne regardless of configuration within the Digital Trunks config and only.

when I do an ST command I get "No card installed at requested slot - State Aborted "

This is different to if I do an ST command on a bogus plid like ST 7 1 2 1, I get "Slot number not supported on this configuration "

Ive just sat here tonight with a console open on a duplicate system and copied screen for screen the config.

I still get the same error.

The error lights on the framer should a green light flashing on the bottom led on port 1 (the Techs handbook doesnt even have this error led)

Any ideas?

Tim

What do you get if you issue the command:
CONFIG LONG 6 1 2

If is shows "programmed" but not installed, then check to be sure the links are defined in the digital link assignment form

Then issue a directed load command LOAD 6 1 2

the card will not become installed until you have configured and assigned a circuit descriptor to your newly assigned link

Doh - Stuipd Stuipd

I omitted the E1 menu, Protocol Assigmment page form.

I had it perfect to then but didnt assign Protocol and protocol Variant in that form.

Sorry about that
